I moved to Finland in 2013. During my first train trips around the country I was astonished by the landscapes I saw. To this day, when I travel here, I get absorbed by the array of trees passing by, often reflected on the surface of some of the country's thousands of lakes.
The idea of soundwaves represented by the envelope of the trees occurred to me almost immediately, but it took me several years to get to the results you see here. And this is still a work in progress.
The music you listen to and which generates these Finnish landscapes in real time is an electroacoustic piece composed by me in 2003.
Thanks for watching, thanks for listening,
Regis
